Slate Choice (Smooth, Rough, Rustic).

When making your choice of slate, its important to consider the style, there are 3 main types (smooth, rough, rustic) not all signs have all types

Smooth: is generally machine sanded and cut, The holes, edges, corners and squareness will be the most perfect, however not 100% perfect as slate is still a natural stone that can have natural imperfections.

Rough: these are generally hand cut and machine sanded, the the surface intentionally has a rough/textured surface..  these are more precisely done than rustic slate, however they may not be 100 square and the screw holes may not be 100% in line, this is normal and not a fault..   we have the smooth finish signs if you expect a more perfect finish

Rustic: These are totally hand made and drilled, and intentionally made to be imperfect, The edges are intentioanlly chipped away this may lead to imperfect edges and corners, they are hand cut so may not be square and hand drilled meaning the holes almost certain wont be 100% level - this is normal,

We will modfiy the layout to best suite the requested design, for example we will size and centeralise the text as needed.

Mistakes

If you notice you have made a mistake, you need to contact us as soon as possible, because once an item is engraved it can not be changed.

Refunds

Read our refund policy, but in short, we will not refund or replace an item where the customer has made a mistake.
